ECO CHURCH NEWS
In recent years awareness of bio-diversity
has come to the fore. However, this is nothing
new. Celtic Christians believed that there were
two Books. The Book of Scripture (The Bible), and
The Book of Creation (God’s bio-diversity of life on earth, which
also included unseen spiritual forces). Modern Celtic Christians
still do believe this.
In our complex history of the Christian church, somewhere along
the line, this has been pushed to one side. However, things are
changing and these beliefs are returning. The Book of Creation
is being recognised again – it’s now called Bio-Diversity.
May churches and Christians are now looking at their place in creation
from this aspect, as well as scriptural teachings. Both are important.
Eco Church is now updating its award scheme to include this. We will
know a little more by the summer. I will let you all know then.
