ECO-CHURCH NEWS
Blister Packs
As part of our journey with Eco-Church, and
as they cannot be recycled at kerb-side, we
are now offering you the chance to re-cycle
your used medicine blister packs. A box has been placed in the lounge,
on the shelf by the kitchen door, for you to place your EMPTY medicine
blister packs in. These will then be taken for re-cycling.
Please note: we do not take expired medication, cardboard packages,
inhalers, aerosol/pressurised cans, medicines or residue, bottles or sprays,
and hazardous waste!
Otherwise, it is quite simple – empty blister packs only!
Wildlife in Hot Weather
Help hedgehogs and birds in hot weather, as their usual prey of slugs and
worms are often unavailable. Leaving out a juicy snack such as mealworms
will help or specially prepared hedgehog food is available. If you have a
garden pond, ensure there is a way for them and other small mammals to climb
out if they fall in. Otherwise, a dish of water is all the is needed, and clean it out
regularly too to prevent disease.
