ECO CHURCH NEWS
The Eco Church Scheme is in its 8th year and over
6,000 churches (10%) in England and Wales are part
of the scheme. 2,000 churches have gained an Eco Church Award.
We are one of these.
The aim in 2024 is to increase this to 25% across the UK by including Scotland
and Northern Ireland. A Rocha who run the scheme is also partnering with other
organisations such as farmers and landowners, schools and community projects too.
BUTTERFLY WILDSPACE
I have received some information from Butterfly Conservation and I am planning
some displays on the notice boards in both halls in the coming months.
The boards are changed 4 times a year (December/March/June/September)
to reflect the seasons and they mention events such as Bird Counts and
Butterfly Counts and smaller local events, plus Eco Church News.
So keep an eye out.
