ECO-CHURCH NEWS
CREATIONTIDE 2023
1st SEPTEMBER – 4TH OCTOBER
What is Creationtide?
It is a period in the church calendar dedicated to God as Creator and Sustainer
of all Life. It is an opportunity for churches of all denominations to pray for the
protection of creation and promote sustainable lifestyles and to pray for those
whose lives have been devastated by climate change (i.e. floods, wildfires, etc).
It includes St Francis Day in honour of St Francis of Assisi, the informal patron
saint of animals and the natural environment. We are hoping to have a
Creationtide Service this year. The date is to be confirmed. Look at the church
News sheet nearer the time.
EMPTY MEDICINE BLISTER PACKS
Thank you for your empty medicine blister packs, keep them coming! I have
found a local village to take them to for recycling, the money raised by the village
benefits their orchard project.

Walk Saturday 30th Sept at 2.00pm. If you wish to join in meet outside
80 Malvern Road Powick, WR2 4RT, plenty of on road parking available, t
his time we will hopefully walk down to Powick Hams, depending on the
weather, walk will roughly take 90mins depending on the speed of the walkers.
Please be prepared for mud and rough terrain! Look forward to
seeing you, feel free to bring along your family and friends to join
us for an afternoon of fun, fellowship and enjoying God’s wonderful creation together.
